Fixtures - Season 2023-24

Breaking with the League’s tradition of just publishing fixtures on a monthly basis, fixtures for Season 2023-24 have been published for the whole season from the outset, taking into account the published fixtures of the three higher leagues that impact us.

In drafting the fixtures, we have sought to ensure that everybody plays everybody else in the first half of the season rather than playing one or two teams twice and some none at all in the opening round of fixtures.

Publishing a full set of fixtures for the whole season has been done for the following reasons:

  • With 18 teams in the Premier Division, it highlights the fact that there are just 5 free Saturdays to cater for postponed games and games that need to be rescheduled due to the impact of cup competitions. As a result, we hope clubs will think twice about seeking to postpone games for anything other than pitch conditions.

  • Publishing a full season in one go helps the three Feeder Leagues below us with their own fixture scheduling.

  • Clubs playing in the FA Cup and FA Vase have floodlights, so any of our league games that must be postponed because they clash with these competitions can be moved to midweek.

  • The FA at Wembley have previously confirmed to us that, as a National Feeder League working to a fixed cut-off date, our league fixtures take precedence over the higher league’s own cup competitions, so there is now less impact on our fixtures than previously assumed.

  • County cups, however, take precedence over our fixtures but the Wiltshire Senior Cup will predominantly be played as a midweek competition, with only home draws for teams without floodlights impacting our fixtures. By arranging it so that all teams play each other once in the first half of the season there may be chance to reverse league fixtures and utilise floodlights in midweek to avoid losing further Saturday dates where postponements do arise due to County Cup draws. Dates are known for the Berks & Bucks County Cups, but we await details of the Somerset competitions.

Changes will be made as required during the season for the impact of cup competitions and postponements with FA Full-Time reflecting the latest position at all times.

For those on the Non-League Forum who make comments about our league, including fixture scheduling and kick-off times, please note that Pewsey Vale and Shrivenham's floodlights currently do not work and Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development will be predominantly using the 3G pitch this season at the Gerard Buxton Ground this season.

Fixtures have all been input to FA Full-Time.

Individual teams fixtures can also be viewed from the Directory Section of the League website.
