Vets - Durrington Need To Win
Final Game To Force Play Off

Mid Wiltshire Division

There were just two games played last week in the two Veterans' divisions of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League, and both were in the Mid Wiltshire Division and impacted the race for honours.

On Wednesday night it finished all square between Durrington and Melksham Town at Bulford with defences once again on top in a clash between the leading sides in the division, as Melksham drew 0-0 for the second consecutive game. As a result Melksham ended their regular league season unbeaten in their 20 league fixtures. The draw saw Melksham remain three points clear at the top with Durrington having the one game still to play. The position now is that Durrington need to beat Devizes in their final game to force a play-off for the title else they will finish as runners-up behind Melksham.

The following night saw Devizes Town fall to a surprise defeat away at Radstock Town to end their hopes of finishing runners-up. A solitary goal from Radstock’s Jack Broadway was enough to give the home side all three points. Radstock end their season this coming Monday with another home game against Bishops Cannings.
