Corsham Print
Wiltshire Senior League
 Under 18 Floodlight Division
Roundup W/C 20 & 27 October

There have been six games played in the Under 18 Floodlight Division of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League in the past fortnight.

Two of those games have involved Devizes Town. The first of those two games saw them secure a comfortable 7-0 win over bottom of the table Trowbridge Town. Caelon Whyte helped himself to a hat-trick with further goals from Elliot Sartin, Lewis Hancox, Archie Brewitt and Logan Brewitt.

Devizes Town followed that up last week with a 2-2 draw against Wims 11 last Monday night at Green Lane, Theo Drewitt getting both Devizes goals to see them sit in the top half of the table after having played nine games.

League leaders Swindon Supermarine played just the one game in the fortnight, and it was something of a goal fest away at Gillingham Town, the two sides sharing 11 goals with Swindon Supermarine taking the three points courtesy of a 7-4 score line. Both Peter Dawson and Antoni Dulik scored twice for Supermarine with Isaac Chalk, Jack Taylor and Shay Williams getting the other goals for the Swindon based side. There were four different scorers for the hosts Gillingham Town, Finlay Holm, Daniel Dacombe, Harry Todd and Jack Hinchliffe all getting their name on the score sheet.

Bishops Cannings  set second in the table and kept the pressure on Swindon Supermarine with their sixth win in seven games, scoring six unanswered goals against Wims 11 in the first game staged at Wims new ground at Mangotsfield United. Bailey Penney led the way scoring a hat-trick with further goals from Maz Raczek, Tom Sharples ad Jack Spanswick. Bishops Cannings remain four points behind Swindon Supermarine with a game in hand following this latest victory.

Calne Town are level on points with Bishops Cannings having played one game more after a 3-1 home win over Radstock Town. Two more goals for Calne Town’s Archy Simpkins saw him take his tally for the season into double figures with Charlie Hancock getting the other Calne Town goal. Radstock’s Isaac Ponari scoring the Radstock goal from the penalty spot.

The second of two league games played last week saw Melksham Town secure a big win over bottom of the table Trowbridge Town. There were four goals for Callum Kirkman, two for Rueben Church, Theo Griffiths and Kieran Higdon and one each for Felix Scott and Ted Scott in the 12-1 win which sees Melksham sat fourth in the table with games in hand over all three teams that are currently above them in the table.

In the various County FA Youth Cups, Kintbury Rangers exited the Berks & Bucks competition beaten 5-3 away at Thatcham Town, whilst in the Wiltshire FA competition Calne Town progressed to the quarter final stage with a 7-0 win over Westbury United.
