FC Chippenham Return To Winning Ways

The weather accounted for three fixtures in the Ladies' Divisions this afternoon with the games at Barford Hornets (v FC Abbey Meads), Swindon Supermarine (v Westbury) and Blunsdon (v Salisbury) all falling victim.


Ladies Premier Division


In the Premier Division, leaders Marlborough Town were held to a 1-1 draw at Calne Town, but remain top. Second placed Melksham Town lost 5-2 at home to Keynsham Town A. They remain in runners up position, but will be wary of the chasing pack who have games in hand.


In the Wiltshire FA County Cup, Purton Kingsdown exited the competition, going down 3-1 to Highworth Town U18's.


Division One


In Division 1, FC Chippenham are in second spot after a 5-1 home win over Purton Kingsdown Res. Just behind are Malmesbury Victoria who won 3-1 at Bishop's Cannings. Ferndale Rodbourne moved on to level points with Stratton after defeating their visitors 4-2 at home. Staverton Rangers maintained their recent good form with a 6-4 home win over Marlborough Town Res and moved above their beaten opponents into sixth place.
