Premier Division
Last Sunday the weather warmed up and saw three games played in the Premier Division and one in the League Cup. It should have been two cup games unfortunately Highworth Town were unable to raise a side for their home cup tie against FC Abbey Meads.
In the league Keynsham Town “A” maintained their leadership of the division with an emphatic 14-0 win over Calne Town. Star of the show was Tia Mahadevan who scored five with three players, Lola Kondorosi, Ella Graham and Brooke Sirrup all bagging a brace with further goals from Freya Dorey, Vicky Vipond and Tilly Welsford.
Marlborough Town remain two points behind Keynsham after a 4-1 home win over Purton Kingsdown. Two goals from Sienna Lewis and one apiece for Kitty Bevan and Lily Wain secured the points for Marlborough, Whitbey Milhench with the Purton Kingsdown reply.
The other game played on Sunday involved the two bottom sides and it saw Swindon Supermarine record their first win of the season, an 8-3 success over bottom of the table Barford Hornets. Amy Thomson led the way scoring four times for Swindon Supermarine, Paige Cook scored twice and there were further goals from Emma Masi and Erin Redgewell. The three goals in reply for Barford Hornets were scored by Maelin Hayes with two and Molly McCarthy.
The one game played in the League Cup saw Melksham Town trail 2-1 at half time in their game away at Westbury Ladies to a goal from Alice Bevan and an own goal, with India Mulliss getting that first half Melksham goals. However, Melksham turned things around after the break scoring three unanswered goals through Mulliss, with her second of the game, Andrea Chludilova and Izzy McGuinness to progress to the quarter final stage. Division One
Last Sunday there were again two league games played in Division One and saw Malmesbury Victoria close in on the top three with a 4-0 win over Stratton with Alice Allman and Laura Deacon both scoring twice.
The game between the two reserve sides from Marlborough Town and Purton Kingsdown saw Marlborough win 7-2 with Daisy Cox scoring five of the Marlborough goals, Kerry Ash and Sarah Kirk getting the other two goals, Keeva Morris and Julietta Munanau replying for Purton Kingsdown.
