Once again the only game that got played in the Under 18 Floodlight Division of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League last week was the game on the 3G pitch at Green Lane, Devizes. The game that went ahead was the Devizes derby where Devizes Town’s opponents were the club they share the use of Green Lane with, Bishops Cannings. When the two sides had met at the start of the season Bishops Cannings ran out 3-1 winners and on Monday night they completed a league double over their near neighbours, goals from Joseph Fallon and Tom Sharples, one in each half, securing a 2-0 win. The three points for Bishops Cannings consolidated their third place position in the league table. They are now eight points behind second placed Calne Town but with two games in hand, and 13 points adrift of leaders Swindon Supermarine but with four games in hand and are still very much involved in the title race. All of the other five scheduled fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
