Premier Division

The latest fixtures in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League Ladies Premier Division again brought a mix of competitive action and postponements across the previous fortnight.

On Sunday 15th March Purton Kingsdown had picked up a 5-1 win away at Highworth Town as the two sides played catch-up with their fixtures to register their fifth win of the season.

Last Sunday with cup action there was just one league game played, with one fixture falling victim to postponement and two sides booking their place in the Ladies League Cup final. Highworth Town’s clash with Barford Hornets was unfortunately called off by Barford Hornets, leaving just one league fixture to complete. That fixture saw Swindon Supermarine edge out Calne Town in a tight 2–1 victory to strengthen their position at the bottom end of the table heading into the final weeks of the season.

Ladies League Cup

In the Ladies League Cup, FC Abbey Meads produced a strong 4–1 performance against Purton Kingsdown to secure their spot in the final which is set to be held at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, home of Royal Wootton Bassett Town, on Sunday 12th April. However, their opponents in the final are still to be confirmed with the second semi final subject to a discipline charge.

Whilst Keynsham Town delivered an impressive 4–0 win over Melksham Town they have been charged been the League with playing ineligible players and the discipline process remains in progress.

Somerset Junior Cup

The previous week Keynsham Town had again been in semi-final cup action in the Somerset Junior Cup but they exited that competition, losing 3-1 at home to Tier 6 side Weston Super Mare from the South West Regional Women's League.

Division One

Division One delivered a full spectrum of scorelines last weekend, ranging from tight battles to high‑scoring showcases.

Blunsdon continued their strong form with a composed 2–0 win over Marlborough Town Reserves, while Ferndale Rodbourne also impressed, securing a 4–1 victory against Durrington. At the other end of the scale, FC Chippenham Youth produced a dominant attacking display in an 11–2 win over Salisbury, their rivals for the league title.

Malmesbury Victoria and Bishops Cannings served up the game of the day, sharing 13 goals in a thrilling 8–5 encounter that kept spectators guessing throughout. Meanwhile, Staverton Rangers and Stratton played out a hard‑fought 0–0 draw, with both sides showing defensive resilience.

A lively weekend across the division, highlighting just how competitive and unpredictable this league continues to be.
