League Cup Final

The League Cup reached its conclusion in emphatic fashion as FC Abbey Meads were crowned cup winners. A dominant 5–0 display over Melksham Town secured the trophy, capping off a strong cup campaign and a memorable day for the squad and supporters.

Chloe Neate opened the scoring on 17 minutes and Michelle Rich then doubled FC Abbey Meads lead to give them a 2-0 half time lead. When leading scorer Hayley Huckin then added a third five minutes into the second half it was effectively game over. Two further goals rounded off an excellent performance from the FC Abbey Meads with both Rich and Huckin getting their second goals of the game. Credit to Melksham Town who kept battling away and played their part in an excellent second Ladies League Cup Final at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

Alan and Barbara Swan and also League Chairman Brian Busson were all at the game with their cameras and more of their excellent pictures can be found on the League Facebook Group Page. Premier Division

The Premier Division produced a mix of high-scoring action and a walkover result. Calne Town were awarded a home walkover against Highworth Town who were unable to raise a side, while Keynsham Town delivered the most dominant performance of the day in the division with a 7–0 away victory over Purton Kingsdown to go top of the table. Westbury Ladies also impressed, securing a strong 3–0 win against Swindon Supermarine to continue their push up the table.

Division 1

Division One saw goals across every fixture. Malmesbury Victoria opened the week with a commanding 7–1 win over Staverton Rangers on the Friday night. The weekend schedule followed with further high-scoring encounters: Marlborough Town Reserves earned a 4–2 away win at Ferndale Rodbourne, while FC Chippenham Youth produced a remarkable 14–0 performance against Purton Kingsdown Reserves. Salisbury claimed a confident 4–1 victory over Blunsdon, and Staverton Rangers bounced back with a 6–2 win against Durrington. Stratton and Malmesbury Victoria shared the points in a competitive 2–2 draw.

FC Chippenham followed that big win on Sunday with another one on Friday against Stratton scoring 17 without reply on the 3G pitch at Green Lane.
