Premier Division
They don’t get much bigger than this, top of the table vs second in the table, both playing their final game of the season, with the prize at stake the Premier Division league title and promotion to Step 6. Shrewton United have led the table all season but nine straight wins in the league for Larkhall Athletic Development sees them just two points behind the leaders ahead of the meeting between the two today.
Larkhall know they must win if they are to secure the title and promotion to Step 6. A draw would give Shrewton the title and Larkhall would then be susceptible to being overtaken by Swindon Supermarine Development if Supermarine win their final game of the season away to Wroughton for that runners-up spot, which could be enough to give the team who finish in second spot promotion depending on ground grading outcomes. Wroughton themselves will be desperate for points themselves in their final game of the season to finish outside the potential relegation zone.
The two of the sides who sit just one point above Wroughton in the table also have big games today, Park United travel to Melksham Town Reserves for an early kick-off knowing a win will guarantee their safety.
Similarly Down Ampney who host Pewsey Vale, can confirm their safety with a win although Down Ampney will have a second chance if they lose today with one more game still to play the following week at home to Melksham Town Reserves.
The other game in the Premier Division today sees Letcombe looking to secure a top five finish as they take on Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves.
Division One
Three games in Division One of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League today with Bradford Town Reserves knowing they still have a mathematical but very unlikely chance of displacing second in the table Bishops Cannings due to their inferior goal difference. Today they travel to Pewsey Vale Development looking to make sure they win as Malmesbury Vics Development, who are playing their final game of the season today at home to Purton Kingsdown Reserves, currently sit above them in the table in the battle for third place.
The other game today sees Shrivenham Development host Faringdon Town Development in a local derby encounter.
