Season 1981-82 saw them finish in the top half of the Division Two table as they finished seventh in an 18-team strong division. The momentum continued as the team were to enjoy another two successful seasons, finishing in fifth and sixth place respectively and it looked like they were on the up, also making it through to the quarter final of the Ghia Senior Cup in 1983-84.However, Season 1984-85 was to prove a difficult one as they crashed out of both senior cups in the first round and finished second from bottom in the table, one point ahead of bottom side Ferndale Athletic. A decision was made to withdraw from the league at the end of the season and they have not returned.

Club Notes
Burbage Sports were founder members of the league, starting in Division Two as a Senior club. Just prior to the formation of the new Wiltshire County League, Burbage had been members of the old Wiltshire League and the two seasons prior to the new league being formed had seen them play in Division One of that league. These two seasons had been very successful for the side based six miles south of Marlborough. Season 1974-75 saw them finish up as runners-up, just three points behind eventual champions Malmesbury. The following season was another good one but they dropped three places to finish in fourth spot, although they would have been pleased to have finished above near neighbours Pewsey Vale.
The first five seasons proved tough for Burbage in the new league, a ninth-place finish in the inaugural season being their best finishing position in those first five seasons. The main high spot came in the Subsidiary Cup, a competition designed to augment the fixtures of the teams in Division Two, in Season 1979-80. They made it all the way to the final before eventually losing out to Highworth Town and having to settle for runners-up medals.
