A heavily weather‑affected weekend left just one Premier Division fixture able to go ahead, but there was still plenty of action across league and cup competitions.
Premier Division
The only surviving fixture saw Marlborough Town FC Ladies host FC Abbeymeads Ladies. Despite the freezing conditions, both sides delivered strong performances, battling their way to a well‑earned 2–2 draw by full‑time.
The remaining league fixtures fell victim to the weather and other disruptions. Highworth Town FC Ladies’ home tie against Westbury Ladies FC was postponed due to adverse conditions, while Barford Hornets FC Ladies’ match against Calne Town FC Ladies was also postponed.
This coming week's scheduled in the Ladies Premier Division see FC Abbeymeads at home to Swindon Supermarine for the first week of February, Highworth Town have a chance to go above Swindon Supermarine in the table as they play Purton Kingsdown. Westbury travel to Marlborough, and Barford Hornets host Melksham Town. No scheduled games for Calne Town and Keynsham Town this week.
Division One
The latest set of fixtures in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League Ladies Division One delivered plenty of action, goals, and talking points across the county.
Marlborough Town Ladies Reserves produced an impressive away performance, securing a 6–3 victory over Bishops Cannings in a high‑scoring encounter. FC Chippenham Youth Ladies were in dominant form, recording a commanding 9–0 win against Durrington FC Ladies to continue their strong run of results. Ferndale Rodbourne FC Ladies also added three points to their tally with a well‑earned 4–2 home win over Purton Kingsdown Ladies Reserves.
The scheduled semi‑final between Staverton Rangers FC Ladies and Stratton FC Ladies in the Wiltshire FA County Plate Competition was postponed once again due to unplayable pitch conditions. The new scheduled date is February 1st and will now be played at Green Lane Playing Fields.
This coming Sunday in Ladies Division One, we have FC Chippenham hosting Blunsdon, Malmesbury Victoria at home to Ferndale Rodbourne and Durrington travelling to Purton Kingsdown Reserves. The scheduled fixture between Bishops Cannings and Staverton Rangers has been replaced with the yet-to-be played County Cup tie, and we see Salisbury host Bishops Cannings instead as a result of this. As noted above, the Wiltshire County FA Women's Plate, semi final between Staverton Rangers versus Stratton will be played (hopefully!) this week at the neutral venue of Green Lane Playing Fields, with a 13:30 kick-off. No fixture for Marlborough Town Reserves this week
League Cup
In cup action, Premier Division side Keynsham Town FC Ladies made the trip to Division One side Malmesbury Victoria FC Women, with the game played on a new 3G pitch in Tetbury which enabled the tie to be played, and demonstrated their Premier Division pedigree with a dominant 14–0 victory to progress to the next round. Unfortunately Swindon Supermarine FC Ladies’ scheduled cup fixture against fellow Premier Division side Purton Kingsdown FC Ladies was postponed due to the weather. Cup action involving two Division One sides saw Salisbury FC Ladies book their place in the next stage of the competition, defeating Blunsdon FC Ladies 3–1 in a confident display.
