Top Two Both Win Again

The top two sides in the Under 18 Floodlight Division of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League both won last week to leave matters as you were at the top of the table.  League leaders Swindon Supermarine edged a tight affair against Bishops Cannings by the odd goal in seven, Kaden Bromyard, Isaac Chalk, Antoni Dulik and Miguel Pedro scoring for Supermarine in their 4-3 win. On target for Bishops Cannings were Jack Spanswick with two, taking his total for the season to 15, and Max Raczak.

Calne Town kept on the heels of leaders Supermarine with a 5-1 away win over Devizes Town with Alex Greenouff continuing his recent goal scoring form, helping himself to a hat-trick with Owen Jones and Archy Simpkins getting the other two Calne Town goals, Callum Nott with the Devizes Town reply. The win for Calne sees them still trail Supermarine by eight points with four games in hand.

The other game played saw Gillingham Town return from Mangotsfield with all three points after a 3-2 away win over Wims 11. Noah Gray fired Wims ahead, but Daniel Dacombe levelled matters up and the teams turned around at the break with the scores level. Charles Davies then put Gillingham ahead for the first time in the game seven minutes after the restart. Omaree Cox brought Wims back level 14 minutes from time but Gillingham immediately got themselves back in front within a minute of that Wims goal, Lewis Pack scoring what proved to be the winning goal. This coming week sees a mix of league and cup games.
